The nickname Bob Nutts Jr was given to me by my Dads drinking buddies when I first started going out in the pubs and working mens clubs of East Lancashire in the early 1990’s (my Dad was Bob Nutts Sr). During this time of learning how to drink, I also learnt a lot about the the small town working class opinions on life - particularly the ravaged North against the world. This viewpoint is certainly something that I try to keep at the front of my work, whether that be through an underdog hero, a swipe at power or unheard voices.

As an illustrator, artist and producer I create new projects that concentrate of inclusivity in the arts, communication through the arts and subcultures in the creative industries. Working with organisations including, Bury Art Museum and Sculpture Centre, The Whitworth, Manchester Histories, Arts Council England, Design Manchester, Head for the Hills Festival, The Met (Bury), Threshold Festival, BBC6 Music, Prestwich Arts Festival and artists including Emory Douglas, I have produced and delivered various creative projects, educational activities, arts events, exhibitions and publications over the past 20 years.

Added to this I have been Creative Producer at the multi-award winning Curated Place who develop and deliver arts projects and festivals all over Europe, a founder and former artist with the punk artist collective ‘Gang of Five’ and also hold a BA and MA in Illustration. My current studio home is ‘Two Crows Arts Studio’ at The Met, Bury, UK.
